Brera Art Gallery<\/p><\/div>\n

Brera Art Gallery (Via Brera 28, Milan) \u2013<\/strong> a.k.a. Pinacoteca di Brera, this is Milan\u2019s main public art gallery, containing one of that city\u2019s major collections of historic artworks. The building that the Gallery is housed in was originally a 14th-century monastery belonging to the Order of the Umiliati, was much later converted into this art house, by Maria Theresa of Austria. There are currently fine works by Raphael, Caravaggio, Andrea Mantegna, Giovanni Bellini, Fattori and Canaletto. Altogether, there are over four hundred works from the 14th century to the latest currents in contemporary art, demonstrating the success of Italian art worldwide. Admission: \u20ac10 (general), \u20ac7 (reduced). Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, from 8:30 am to 7:15 pm. See its website for more details: www.brera.beniculturali.it<\/p>\n

Canale Grande (Venice) \u2013 this is one of Venice\u2019s major waterways. Public transportation is provided by water buses (or vaporetti) here, as well as by private water taxi services. Along with that, tourists go on gondola rides to familiarize themselves with this city. Since over the centuries, much of Venice\u2019s traffic went through here, ver few bridges were built here. They are: Rialto Bridge, Ponte degli Scalzi, Ponte Dell\u2019Accademia, and the Ponte della Costituzione.
